Members of the Nollywood, Hair Dressers, United Tailors, Civil Society Groups and other grassroots communities took to the street to protest for the release of the Chibok Girls that were abducted by the Boko Haram terrorist group since April 15th this year. The street walk kicked off from Allen Round about and ended after the protesters handed over the letter requesting that the authorities should act fast ensuring that the girls are released immidiately. The Lagos state Speaker of the state house of Assembly accepted the letter with a promise to deliver it to the appropriate quarters and that House will do what ever it takes to ensure that the girls are released.
