Military Kill Key Boko Haram Commanders

According to the recent update Boko Haram militants suffered a setback losing 2 commanders and 15 sect members in the attempt by the Nigerian military to recapture Michika and Bazza.

The battle in the two towns seized about a week ago by the terrorists, took place Tuesday morning, September 16.

Leadership reports with reference to its source, who pleaded anonymity, that 2 Boko Haram commanders said to be in charge of Gulak and Shuwa were among those killed by the troops in Bazza.

It was also claimed that dead bodies of the locals caught in the crossfire were littering the town after the fight between the military and the terrorists had renewed.

It would be recalled that the dreaded sect members captured the key town of Michika, Adamawa Stat, last weekend forcing the residents out of their homes.

Shorty Bazza town was also annexed in what appears to be the attempt to extend the Islamic Caliphate declared by Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau in the captured territories.

Since then the remained residents have been suffering from the insurgents’ actions, as they reportedly slaughter people and rape women.

This information was gathered and provided yesterday by the coalition of non-governmental organisation, consisting of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Michika chapter, Civil Servants Forum, the Northern Christian Elders Forum and Kamwe Christian Community Forum.
